Summary The North America region is currently seeking a driven team player who will develop and manage the successful marketing strategy of future TCL Mobile products into the assigned carrier channels. This position works alongside the account management team, focused on the development and implementation of carrier marketing programs, initiatives, and campaigns to increase brand presence and drive sell-through. This position requires expertise in the wireless industry and proven success managing carrier in-store and local marketing campaigns. The successful candidate must also be self-motivated and possess the dedication, attitude and commitment to be successful with our company. This role will require travel up to 50% annually. Roles/Responsibilities Carrier Subject Matter Expert: Responsible for providing dedicated marketing support to the assigned carrier partners, the Carrier Marketing Manager will proactively develop programs to ensure ongoing awareness and sell-through efforts of our products. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for the collection of relevant data and feedback from the carrier to assist in creating launch support strategies with marketing, promotions, advertising, and training, as well as to support product planning decisions. Develop and manage go-to-market launch strategy and timing; monitoring status and escalating issues if they arise. Partner/coordinate with marketing teams (advertising, events, merchandising & collateral, digital & web) to execute approved strategies and deliverables. Understand the carrier’s operational flow/systems for each account to provide reporting back to internal teams. Go-To-Market Strategy Management: Manage the carrier launch support calendar to ensure that carrier support elements are ready for launch. Collect all necessary data to define and report industry trends and product sell-through analysis by channel and market to draw conclusions on sell-through, areas of improvement and opportunities. Work with the Marketing team to manage and facilitate the communication of existing and new global marketing initiatives and programs to the assigned Carrier partners. The successful candidate will provide the marketing support required to meet and/or exceed quarterly sell-through targets for the respective carriers and successfully manage a discretionary marketing budget. Launch Support & Post Launch Analysis: Ensure carrier teams and brand ambassadors have the support needed to improve and sustain sales of products. Work closely with field team management to help define directives, secure and travel to support necessary regional marketing efforts as needed, as well as attend relevant sales meetings to drive the business. Conduct post campaign/launch analysis with carriers, evaluate strategies and modify as necessary. Generate ideas, update go-to-market plans, and work with internal Go-To-Market teams to ensure timely implementation of all the training and materials needed for new product launches. Budget & Project Management: Responsible for budget planning, tracking, monthly reporting, invoice submission and account reconciliation; tracking and managing use of MDF and trade marketing funds for assigned channels. Creates overall carrier marketing plans, administering schedules, setting ROI, as well as monitoring and summarizing the results of carrier programs. Ensures all necessary internal and external reviews/approvals are obtained for successful program executions, programs are communicated to the field and are assessed and closed out properly. Experience/Qualifications: 5-7 years sales and/or marketing, or product launch experience, including prior experience with a wireless carrier or handset manufacturer Business/Marketing related degree is a requirement Must be self-motivated, with the ability to focus on and achieve goals Strong sales skills are a must Ability to write very detailed Go-To-Market Plans, keep them up to date and deliver updates to internal teams Must have prior experience developing and delivering training materials to the carrier personnel either directly or through a train-the-trainer approach Team player, with exceptional organizational skills with the ability to collaborate virtually Excellent presentation and public speaking, as well as written communication skills Ability to develop and maintain key relationships Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Develop and implement strategic marketing and forecasting plans to achieve account/company objectives. Works with sales team to monitor and consolidate competitive data and marketing activities to recommend best in class sell through programs.
