Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer is a creative force behind eye-catching traditional and digital advertising and marketing materials, working collaboratively with our dynamic Creative Services and Brand team. This role focuses on shaping the story of our brand, ensuring that creative output is aligned to The Goddard School's brand positioning and executed consistently across every platform.

Responsibilities:

Creative Concepting
  • Support the go-to-market process by developing ideas into proof of concepts with cross functional teams. This includes translating briefs into exploratory designs, mood boards and executable brand expressions.
  • Develop materials for brand evolution and growth utilizing outcomes from creative reviews, consumer research and relevant data/performance metrics.

Graphic Design Production
  • Create unique, innovative and brand-aligned graphics to support marketing campaigns, collateral, digital and print advertising, email, social media, digital platforms, events, in-school marketing materials and other consumer-facing materials.
  • Assist with campaign and event toolkit production and design.
  • Maintain brand consistency in look, feel and execution of design work and ensure that all output aligns with current brand positioning.
  • Design advertising and marketing materials for the electronic brand management platform, focusing on dynamic, template-based designs suited for local customization by individual schools.
  • Provide wireframes, responsive design and assist in delivering design-thinking solutions to continuously upgrade and enhance The Goddard School brand presence online and across all digital properties.

Collaborative Design
  • Partner with external creative agencies to develop compelling collateral to align with current research and brand positioning, and provide clear, constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with web team to ensure that UI brand guidelines are appropriately and effectively applied across all digital properties.

Experience and Competencies

Minimum Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a graphic design department, or agency setting, required
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, required
  • Working knowledge in HTML, CSS and other digital design tools, preferred
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a team environment, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high design standards
  • Desire to grow and learn

Highly Desired
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, optional
  • Passion for brand storytelling
  • Familiarity with print, desktop and mobile best practices
  • Knowledge of best practices in UX/UI and digital design trends, a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

There will be periodic requirements to travel for in-person events, at the discretion of your manager or the requirement of the company.
