We are seeking a skilled Sr. UX Designer to partner with a cross functional team of product, engineering, key stakeholders, and designers to create an end-to-end customer experience for their digital experience. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential. Ultimately, you will make the product more user-friendly and intuitive to drive adoption and usage.

About the Role:
- 6-month contract-to-hire (expected to be converted)
- Hybrid schedule (2-3 days/week) at office in Greenwood Village
- Candidates need to be local to Denver, CO
- Will be asking for a portfolio
- Flexible hourly rates based on experience
- Full-time hours, not a part-time contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong UI/UX design skills showcasing problem solving techniques focused on the customer
- Expertise in design software such as Figma, Figjam, and Miro.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, journey mapping techniques, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing to support evidence-focused design decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and process.
- Define and execute a customer centric strategy to focus on the customer experience through user research
- Strong journey mapping experience.
- Developing wireframes and task flows based on user needs
- Collaborating with Designers and Developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software
- Understand product specifications and user psychology
- Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
- Create personas through user research and data
- Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
- Work with existing UI Developer to create wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
- Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design related area of focus, or other relevant discipline such as UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Thinking, or a related discipline
- 6-8+ years of proven experience as a UX Designer responsible for wireframes, prototyping, and designs advocating for customer experience
- Strong Interpersonal and consultative skills – Seeks understanding, excellent listener
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Excellent experience with Figma
- Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, marketing and key stakeholders
- Financial background is a huge bonus!
- Detail-oriented and able to deliver at an elevated level of accuracy
- Experience working within an Agile environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing web application projects, detailing your role and process
- Strong portfolio of design projects
- Proven expertise in creating designs that work seamlessly across multiple devices and screen sizes
- Background in project management and research
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
- Some knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript/React is a plus
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions and thought processes
