About The Role
The Artist Relations & Transport Coordinator plays a critical role in making sure that all transportation-related logistics are handled smoothly during an event. They are responsible for managing the travel of artists, crew, and equipment, handling last-minute issues, and ensuring that everything runs on time. This role is especially vital for larger events or tours where multiple people and pieces of equipment need to be moved efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assisting with transportation needs for artists, crew, or equipment, including running errands to pick up supplies, food, or last-minute items
- Running essential errands like picking up food and drinks for the artist and crew, purchasing supplies, or picking up last-minute items needed for the show
- Acting as a point of contact between various departments (artist relations, production, and the artist's team). Keeping everyone updated on time changes, requests, or any issues that might arise
- Helping with any unexpected challenges and finding solutions quickly
- Ensure vehicles are properly parked or arranged for optimal access, making sure that parking restrictions or venue-specific guidelines are followed
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years experience working in music venues and/or festivals
- This role requires candidates to possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license and be legally eligible to operate a vehicle for work-related transportation, including late-night and early-morning hours as needed. Additionally, candidates must have access to an operational cell phone for work-related communication
- Thorough knowledge of the area and comfortable driving the streets of Manhattan
- Safe driving habits: hands-free devices, no distractions, no smoking, speed limit, etc.
- Friendly and personable, works well with others
- Available for long shifts, including nights and weekends (typical show day runs about 16 hours)
COMPENSATION
The hourly rate for this position will range from $25-$27.
