Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a qualified candidate for Senior Creative Designer opportunities in Albuquerque, NM for the Sandia National Laboratories.

Work Location: Sandia National Laboratories, 1515 Eubank SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123

Job Duties:

  1. Provide unclassified and classified communication services support in the production of designing as it relates to publications, exhibits, multimedia, and presentation services on an as-needed basis.
  2. Furnish all personnel, materials, equipment, facilities, and delivery services necessary to fulfill the necessary Statement of Work.
  3. Thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, delivering excellent customer service.
  4. Create cohesive and visually appealing designs based on input from multiple stakeholders.
  5. Manage all facets of the design process, including concept development, layout, and final production.
  6. Observe and follow client corporate design Common Look and Feel policy for all communication products intended for external audiences.
  7. Demonstrate proficiency with design software programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  8. Support design meetings, assist in project reviews, and manage records of design decisions.
  9. Work effectively in a team environment with diverse groups, produce designs with short lead times, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  10. Direct the development of complex design projects and convey visual information effectively.
  11. Collaborate with multiple subject-matter experts to develop design concepts.
  12. Supervise or review the work of junior designers or subcontractors as needed.
  13. Provide high-level design execution, knowledge of production processes, and attention to detail in design elements.
  14. Interact with engineers or project managers to understand and communicate design limitations.
  15. Apply project knowledge and conduct research through discussions with technical specialists or other resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in graphic design or other related field.
  2. Minimum two (2) years experience working in creative design, graphic design, or other related field with demonstration of skills managing design projects, performing production projects, or other relative talent OR seven (7) years relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  3. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance ('L', 'Q', or 'Sigma 15').
  4. Ability to gain and maintain access to and travel to Client Locations or other work sites designated by Client.
