The Pixotope Customer Success Group is dedicated to delivering top-notch technical, creative, and operational support for Pixotope’s Graphics and Tracking virtual production software tools. In the role of a Product Specialist, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the entire lifecycle of our technical solutions, from project planning to installation and training.
Collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, and our Partners, you will be tasked with consistently delivering exceptional product support to users of Pixotope Graphics and Tracking solutions. This position is centered around providing operational and technical support to Pixotope’s Customers and Partners, involving travel to customer sites, resellers, other Pixotope offices, and events as needed.
This role will offer you a great opportunity to use and further develop your Virtual Production and Unreal Engine skills. You will be able to contribute to making industry-leading productions go on air, and assist a diverse array of customers, many of whom have a wealth of skill and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Always learn and improve your knowledge and understanding of Unreal Engine and Pixotope to support our customers.
- Provide telephone and web-based technical support using Zendesk - also out of hours.
- Onsite travel for creative training, commissioning, and production services for customers, partners, and events.
- Independent project management in international Broadcast, adhering to Pixotope's standardized Customer Success practices/processes.
- Maintain communication with support team and management to resolve technical problems and escalate complex issues to level 2 engineers and Engineering teams.
- Exercise sound judgment in critical situations, interacting with management and senior customer personnel, and building productive relationships with 3rd party vendors.
- Assist sales teams in promoting Pixotope’s Graphics and Tracking Products and Support Offerings as a Product Expert.
- Attend regular training to stay current on tracking and real-time graphic production methodologies for broadcast, film, and EPTV, providing out-of-hours support as needed.
About You
To be successful in this role, you have:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of industrial experience either in camera tracking, 3D Graphics operational capacity or equal Technical Support/Product Specialist skills within the Media Industry.
- Excellent customer focus & strong communication skills.
- A high level of experience with using Unreal Engine editor tools, with strong proficiency in:
- Blueprints (you will be expected to know how to manipulate and alter your scenes through the use of blueprint logic).
- Materials (you will be expected to understand Unreal Engine’s PBR workflow and what the different material properties do and how they interact with each other).
- Lighting (you will be expected to have knowledge of different lighting tools available in Unreal Engine, their properties and how they impact your scene. Apart from the basic light types, this includes things like sky lights, volumetric fog and post process volumes).
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience with troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of computer technologies (Hardware/OS), Video, Lighting, and networking infrastructures.

A genuine passion for Pixotope products and a commitment to aiding customers in achieving success are crucial aspects of this role. The capability to work efficiently under tight deadlines with minimal supervision is a key attribute. Being a collaborative team player, adaptable, and flexible is also important in this position.
Moreover, showcasing a results-oriented, structured, and independent approach to work is a fundamental requirement for success in this role.
