Job Overview:

As the Social Media Coordinator, you will play a key role in executing Sun Gro's social media strategy across all major platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X, etc.) with a focus on engaging consumers, independent garden centers, and professional greenhouse growers. You will be responsible for curating and posting content that highlights the unique benefits of our products, educates our audience on sustainable growing practices, and strengthens Sun Gro's online presence. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your digital marketing skills while working with industry-leading brands.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Content Creation & Posting:
    • Develop and schedule regular, engaging content for all social media platforms in line with Sun Gro’s brand voice.
    • Tailor content to resonate with different audiences, including home gardeners, independent garden centers, and professional greenhouse growers.
    • Highlight key products, emphasizing their benefits and eco-friendly features.
    • Create product demonstration videos, behind-the-scenes stories, and user-generated content.
  2. Brand Storytelling:
    • Effectively communicate why Sun Gro is the leading choice for professional and consumer growing media.
    • Highlight Sun Gro’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and expertise in horticulture.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce compelling campaigns.
  3. Community Engagement:
    • Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
    • Engage with independent garden centers, greenhouse growers, and influencers.
    • Use feedback from the online community to improve content strategies.
  4. Analytics & Reporting:
    • Track and analyze key social media metrics to refine content strategy.
    • Provide monthly reports on social media performance.
  5. Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
    • Keep up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
    • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide suggestions.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a related industry, or a strong personal portfolio showcasing digital creativity.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of all major social media platforms.
    • Excellent written communication skills with a creative eye for visuals.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic graphic design skills and video editing knowledge is a plus.
    • Familiarity with social media management tools.
    • Passion for horticulture, gardening, sustainability, or eco-conscious products is highly desirable.
