Brand Motion Designer Responsibilities
- Development of Meta’s brand system and design language through motion design animation and prototyping.
- Produce strong conceptual and expressive animations that are engaging and reflect a cohesive brand experience and are rooted in strong conceptual motion principles.
- Sketch, storyboard, ideate, and generate new concepts quickly based on stakeholder direction and self-driven research.
- Work closely with a diverse team including creative directors, art directors, designers, product designers, engineers, program managers, and content strategists. Take direction and provide feedback to effectively develop and deliver final animated content, ensuring full realization of work.
- Generate ideas, inspire your teammates, give and receive feedback, and critique respectfully.
- Meet multiple deadlines, prioritize work, and keep projects moving forward.
- Develop new interactive concepts.
- Partner with technical artists and engineering to influence the development of new animation formats, tools and pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years experience with product, branding or communication design.
- Portfolio exhibits conceptual experience, a proven understanding of design best practices, interactive experience, technical skills and craftsmanship.
- Experience with storytelling including editorial animation and/or illustration.
- Exhibited understanding and command of the principles of animation and easing.
- Demonstrated experience in 2D and 3D animation skills.
- Experience with Cinema4D, Adobe Creative Suite (including After Effects), Figma.
- Knowledge of Lottie, JSON, prototyping skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence.
- Knowledge of iOS, Android and WWW design.
- Knowledge of Origami.
- Experience in pursuing emerging technologies.
- Future-first mindset, and experience creating in new platforms. This may include, but is not limited to: augmented, virtual or mixed reality, gaming, Web3, AI, NFTs, avatars, etc.
