Summary:

We’re on the lookout for a talented UI/UX Designer to help shape the future of web-based education and digital authoring. In this role, you will own the end-to-end UX Design process for one or more web-based applications within our product suite. You’ll work alongside our team of highly skilled Designers to collaborate on design solutions, ensure quality, and create a cohesive user experience.

What you’ll do:

  1. Produce a variety of design deliverables including wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and dev-ready designs.
  2. Champion user-centric design principles, accessibility, and inclusivity.
  3. Conduct research and analyze existing products to identify opportunities for improvement.
  4. Work closely with Solutions Managers, Business Analysts, and Stakeholders to align design solutions with business objectives and user feedback.
  5. Partner with Engineers to understand technical constraints and ensure designs are feasible.
  6. Contribute to and maintain a unified Design System across products.
  7. Share and receive constructive feedback to refine and elevate the user experience.
  8. Present research and designs for feedback from peers and stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  2. 5 or more years of proven experience in User Experience, User Research or Digital Design.
  3. Experience designing web applications.
  4. Experience with UI/UX design software (Figma is preferred).
  5. Worked in Agile environments and proficient with project management software such as Jira or Asana.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products (or other office suite products).
  7. Excellent creative problem-solving skills. Ability to parse ideas, research, and design constraints to move conversations forward and determine the best solution.
  8. Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  9. Ability to perform efficiently and effectively with minimal oversight.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  1. Passion for the future of Education and AI.
  2. Experience within Education, Publishing, or Media.
  3. Experience creating or implementing Design systems, or familiarity with design system concepts.
  4. Familiarity with front end development concepts and frameworks.
  5. Experience working in a distributed team across time zones and regions.
