Job Description:
The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Program Success & Marketing at LSU Online & Continuing Education (OCE). This position plays a critical role in managing and executing the marketing activities for the programs and portfolios that LSU OCE help support. Responsibilities are to ensure strong, quality lead generation and lead nurturing to lead to enrollment and retention goals for LSU OCE within annual budget guidelines. This position will require high collaboration with the internal Marketing, Program Management and Recruitment & Retention teams to contribute to recruiting and retaining quality students and graduates for LSU OCE.
Job Responsibilities:
Program Marketing Management: Take ownership of marketing activities for individual portfolios that LSU OCE help support. Act as a primary point of contact for program-specific marketing inquiries and requests from internal stakeholders and external partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support program marketing objectives. 45%
Data Analysis and Reporting: Regularly track and analyze lead generation data and marketing efforts and report out data to stakeholders. Provide detailed reports to the Director of Program Success & Marketing, highlighting key performance metrics, trends, and insights. Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve lead generation effectiveness. 20%
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Maintain a high level of collaboration with internal teams, including Marketing, Program Management, and Recruitment & Retention teams. Coordinate efforts to ensure alignment of messaging and consistency across all marketing channels. In addition align on program-specific goals with overall enrollment objectives. 15%
Content Development and Distribution: Collaborate with content creators to develop high-quality marketing collateral, including but not limited to, website content, blog posts, email newsletters, brochures, and social media content. Ensure content is tailored to resonate with target audiences and aligns with program messaging and branding guidelines. 10%
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in marketing and higher education. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve marketing strategies to drive better results for LSU OCE programs. Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential threats. Use insights to refine marketing strategies and differentiate LSU OCE programs in the competitive landscape. Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set by the division. 5%
Other duties as assigned. Attend events, fairs and conferences as needed. 5%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 3 years of marketing and client relation experience, including digital marketing knowledge.
