A Brief Overview The Upstream Marketing Devices, Senior Manager, is responsible for supporting the development of global pipeline innovations, global upstream marketing strategies incl. positioning, messaging, branding, and overall strategic planning and product launches, all in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive growth for the Global Aesthetics Devices business. This candidate will be accountable for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and maximizing external marketing efforts including: Early-Stage Upstream Developments Consumer & HCP Market Research Customer Feedback, Market Insights, & Commercial Strategies Scientific Publications & Opportunities What you will do Global Marketing: Drive select pipeline projects by providing customer feedback, market insights, and work cross-functionally to drive product development programs. Upstream Marketing Devices, Senior Manager will be responsible for defining marketing requirements and validating product inputs in collaboration with HF engineers and training lead, supporting financial forecasts and business cases, development of launch plans, and collecting research and data to support commercial strategy. Global Market Research: Partner with Market Analytics and external partners to execute market research initiatives around customer needs and product validation. Provide technical expertise to assist in their execution. Stay connected with market needs through frequent interaction with regional marketing partners, customers (In-region visits, attendance at industry meetings, review medical journals, etc.). Global Scientific Strategy: Responsible for supporting the development of the scientific publication strategy for responsible products in close partnership with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Marketing teams. Global Launch Strategy: Responsible for supporting and executing new product launches in close partnership with regional teams and other key stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include leading the development of select marketing strategy, branding, positioning, messaging, and key asset creation, in collaboration with Training Lead and Downstream Team when needed. Additional responsibilities include close collaboration with Technical Operations and Global Digital Technology Teams to ensure accurate product readiness, include launch inventory planning and roll-out and system integration readiness for software launches, as well as strong collaboration with Global RA to ensure global internationalization of select launches. Support cross collaboration efforts with the Regional Marketing teams, R&D, GTO, Corp Comms., Finance, Legal, and other key stakeholders for all franchise’s key initiatives. Global Product Management: Develop in-depth understanding of regional markets and needs. Contribute to the development of global brand strategies for products, services, programs and other key initiatives, including establishment of value proposition, targeting & segmentation, positioning, global branding, product launch and lifecycle management. Collaboration: Partner closely with regional marketing to gather input on customer needs and ensure strong alignment with product and company strategy. Be responsive in responding to requests from customers and internal stakeholders. Work collaboratively with functional areas and strategic partners to ensure business issues are addressed in a timely manner. Budget Management: Ensures marketing and advertising resources related to upstream marketing are effectively invested to meet business strategic needs and to drive profitability. Corporate Development Support: When needed, support Sr Director in collaboration with R&D and Corporate Development in identifying external partners to target for acquisition or strategic partnership to fill gaps in the portfolio or create competitive differentiation, including support in developing the related business cases and forecasts to gain internal support for proposed partnerships/acquisitions. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) In Marketing or Relevant Majors 6-7 Years of product management or strategic marketing experience Proven track record of successfully launching products in a similar role Basic finance knowledge, including business case development for new product launches, pricing structure and COGS / G.P. analysis, P&L analysis, and budget management Preferred Qualifications: 9 Years of progressive product or strategic global marketing experience with pharmaceuticals, medical devices, life sciences, or technology. Basic understanding of human factors principles, incl. usability testing Experience in working with medical or health care professionals preferred Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape Excellent organizational, collaboration, and influencing skills Excellent written & verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Passion for professional marketing & product innovation Technical & Functional Skills: Develop a deep understanding of the Aesthetics market and customers and consumers across the globe. Help drive and lead select early phase upstream product and innovation strategies. Collaborate with downstream team to help compose and deliver customer facing & internal assets while maintaining budget & timing expectations. Collect, organize, and interpret marketing research with customer & consumer initiatives, scientific publications, medical affairs inquiries, competition, and intellectual property filings. Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, Education, Communications, Global and Regional Marketing teams. Optimize and execute global external marketing efforts. Ability to collect, organize, and interpret information and data. Ability to cultivate relationships at all levels of the organization. Strategic agility and strong planning orientation, with ability to clearly and convincingly articulate plans, proactively identifying opportunities and providing solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced PPT experience. Excellent organizational, collaboration, and influencing skills.
