Sweater Technical Designer
to work in a creative environment and grow with the design team. Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Sweater design team to understand the design concept/vision. Helps set-up & release tech packs with development specs based on design references. Manages proto fittings when needed and helps relay fit comments to factories. Manages tech packs throughout the development process through pass-off to production. Helps with technical follow up through production. Daily communication with teams and overseas factories. Requirements:
2-3 years of technical design experience within the apparel industry. Strong knowledge in sweater construction and finishing required. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal). Highly organized. Leverages strong understanding of garment engineering and apparel factory operations. Models ability to multi-task and adapt to change. Proven ability to independently, consistently, and appropriately manage risk at all stages of product development. Ability to manage and follow through on a task from start to finish within a specified timeline without supervision. A trained eye for basic design aesthetic details. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Illustrator. The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience between $60,000-$75,000. BCI IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
