Job Overview The Director of Sales & Marketing meets and exceeds revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts with a profitable and win-win selling approach. Responsibilities Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals, as established by management. Leads direct reports to achieve property sales goals and holds them accountable for their responsibilities. Targets appointment-oriented sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program. Maximizes current hotel key accounts and identifies new revenue growth opportunities. Captures competitor's accounts through networking and market research. Plans and implements ongoing Targeted Account Development strategies. Implements e-commerce and internet marketing strategies. Promotes the hotel brand to increase overall profitability. Adjusts sales plans according to business and marketing trends. Maintains current knowledge of competition and sales techniques. Targets and prospects for new business through telemarketing and creativity. Utilizes yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and commitments. Maintains organized and up-to-date client files. Develops strong customer relations through frequent communication. Conducts market research to capitalize on strengths and weaknesses. Focuses on revenue-producing activities and maximizes selling time. Controls expenses to minimize hotel costs. Represents the hotel and Sage Hospitality with integrity and professionalism. Exhibits a positive team attitude and maintains open communications. Displays a neat and business-like appearance at all times. Qualifications Education/Formal Training:

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Experience:

4+ years of hotel sales management experience. Knowledge/Skills:

3-5 years of sales management experience, knowledge of sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills. Ability to travel and communicate effectively in English, with strong business writing skills. Physical Demands:

Ability to meet clients on and off premises, tour property, and operate office equipment. Eligible for Sage bonus plan, unlimited paid time off, 401(k) with employer matching, health savings accounts, and more.
