Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Our client is seeking a Design Program Manager of Workplace Design + Brand, with interior architecture and branding design experience based out of the Los Angeles campus. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead a creative process from its strategic start to its executional finish. With a strong understanding of storytelling through interior architecture & brand, this candidate is responsible for the design of tenant improvement projects, which means updating, revising and evolving the design of a physical space involving various aspects of a project (as examples, an improvement to environmental graphics, new finishes, or new furniture). This candidate will have a proven track record of creative problem-solving, excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, as well as a rigorous attention to detail. The successful candidate is an experienced, enthusiastic, and engaging professional who can communicate clearly at all levels and gains trust with peers through a proven track record. This role works in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and will be working on multiple projects, most of which have very tight delivery timelines. Responsibilities: Drive creative consistency in our environments that foster creativity and innovation which enable people to do their best work. Manage and maintain multiple, simultaneous projects through all phases (including brand design) with a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up with consistent and concise communication with project managers & cross-functional teams, local & regional (internal) teams. Provide support through guidance, feedback, and help realize a design vision (both architecture & brand). This vision will be provided in creative briefs for external design architects, consultants, or artistic / brand agencies. Review and markup construction & architectural design details, brand-related drawings, FFE & lighting specifications to ensure proper coordination of design intent. Maintain a strong working partnership with program managers to ensure that the project scope meets budget. Collaborate and lead value engineering exercises if needed to stay within budget and schedule. Participate in calls with project teams across multiple time zones as required. Ensure designs are cohesive to the overall project intent and represent the company culture and brand values. Remain current with design knowledge, processes, and philosophies, specifically around Inclusive Design and Sustainability Design. If required, specify finishes and production methods for architectural, print, and branded design efforts. Partner with planning & occupancy leads to incorporate programming needs into physical space. Assist with workplace assessments (with the support of a space programmer) for the Portfolio and Transaction teams to enable site renewal and/or new selection. Manage programming and design changes throughout the design process. Coordinate the completion and presentation of design phase milestones from our design partner firm to enable visibility to design progress. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent practical experience. 8-10 years of experience in planning, design development, EGD, or project management on workplace projects, with an understanding of branding an environment and integration into the built environment. Strong understanding of the construction and design process; expert knowledge of working drawings and procedures. Working ability of Google Suite, Adobe Products: Creative Suite, as well as Bluebeam, CAD, or Revit. Extraordinary attention to detail, while still working under strict timelines. Strong time management and organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Deep understanding of and ability to articulate how design concepts relate to strategy in the corporate workplace practice and how that can positively affect the company’s business and workplace design. Ability to develop relationships across teams, functions, and geographies. Compensation: $70.00 - $86.00 per hour ID#: 1614 Seniority level
