Outbound Communications is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to support the business and marketing team. The Outbound team oversees established and new communication channels including email, push, SMS, and WhatsApp. Outbound Communications is responsible for the transmission of messages to all of Amazon's customers and delivers over 350 million messages a day. Our goal is to delight Amazon customers worldwide with inspiring content and help them fulfill their shopping missions. We do this by driving awareness and discovery of Amazon’s products and services. We meet customers at their preferred communication channel(s) with the most relevant content, at the right time and frequency. This role is highly autonomous and visible, and you have a proven ability to influence stakeholders and partners to achieve goals, can work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate strongly with leaders.

Key job responsibilities
Global channel governance - redesign and oversee approvals and exceptions, work with tech and product to streamline process and work with partner teams to improve communications. Outbound Bar Raising program - analyze, re-design, and launch a new OBR program globally. OBRs are the final check before a send reaches a customer, making it a critical last check. UX template global rollouts - we are always seeking to improve the CX of our communications and will broadly launch successful new designs when proved successful. Automated program global launches - as we test new programs, successful programs will be automated and launched internationally. This person will be responsible for overseeing the rollouts, working closely with product, tech, and local teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of program or project management experience Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of driving process improvements experience Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
