Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the marketing initiatives of HIT Athletic, driving brand awareness, member engagement, and community connections. This position will work closely with our Director of Operations and other team members to develop and execute marketing campaigns, create compelling content, and help drive membership growth.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote HIT Athletic’s classes, personal training services, events, and community initiatives.
  2. Manage HIT Athletic’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), creating content that aligns with our brand and engages our community.
  3. Develop, write, and schedule engaging content for social media, email newsletters, and other digital platforms.
  4. Collaborate with personal trainers and coaches to feature success stories, class highlights, and special events.
  5. Support the planning and execution of HIT Athletic events, such as open houses, competitions, and community gatherings.
  6. Analyze and report on social media and campaign performance, making recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
  7. Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all marketing materials, online platforms, and in-club visuals.
  8. Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to keep HIT Athletic’s marketing strategies fresh and relevant.
  9. Assist with updating and managing the website, ensuring content is up-to-date and visually appealing.
  10. Support partnership and sponsorship outreach initiatives with local businesses to enhance brand visibility in Austin.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or social media management (experience in the fitness or wellness industry is a plus).
  3. Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on creating engaging, brand-aligned content.
  4. Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later).
  5. Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and basic knowledge of website management (e.g., WordPress).
  6. Familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.
  7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. A passion for fitness and an understanding of HIT Athletic’s mission and values.
