Who We Are Looking For: Are you passionate about social justice and ready to make an impact through social media? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you! We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our team and use your creativity with our social media and online platforms to promote social justice at Boston GLASS.Boston GLASS is a program of JRI Health that provides a drop-in center for LGBTQ+ youth in Jamaica Plain. Our services include community building, free and confidential screening for HIV, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and viral Hepatitis, educational programs on HIV, STIs, viral Hepatitis, harm reduction, and more. We believe that all people -of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, education levels, ages, languages, religions, and geographic locations - should have the opportunity to live healthy lives.This position is Full-time, 40 hours per week in person at the office with one work from home day.What You'll Do:A culturally responsive, self-motivated professional who will oversee the management of our social media handles, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Discord. The use of social media management software is strongly preferred and will be provided to the social media specialist.The Social Media specialist will keep a detailed calendar of scheduled social media posts, hashtag holidays, planed social media campaigns and collaborations with other service providers.The Social Media specialist will support in content creation for social media handles, as well as utilize peer leaders, interns and work collaboratively with fulltime staff to create and manage content.The Social Media specialist will support in the training of peer leaders, and work collaboratively with the Outreach Coordinator to help organize and operationalize outreach strategies and initiatives.The Social Media specialist will support the Outreach Coordinator in the collection of aggregate data for contract reporting.The Social Media specialist help supervise the drop in space, communicate needs for the space to the Outreach Coordinator and help welcome new and returning clients.Why JRI?
