Job Description
• The Marketing Cloud Expert is a key member of the team and is responsible for leading the design and delivery of solutions on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Full-lifecycle implementations and/or implementing integrated solutions including other SFMC ecosystem technologies, cloud-based marketing solutions, integration services, and data modeling
• Ability to create a solution based on client requirements (e.g. data flows, journeys, etc.)
• Responsible for the iteratively improving Marketing Cloud data model and architecture
• Understand and map Business Processes & Challenges into our technical product suite, ensuring scalable, secure, comprehensive solution designs
• Translate business and marketing requirements into well-designed solutions
• Present high-level overviews of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture and integration capabilities
• Define use cases and prioritize based on business value and scope
• Facilitating strategic conversations with clients to define and document business and technical requirements based on prioritized use cases
• Performing gap analysis outlining client gaps in technology, resources, and institutional knowledge necessary to deliver and execute a successful channel rollout
• Working with cross-functional teams to clearly link functional scope back to business value
• Clearly define the value for our clients associated with delivering against capabilities and requirements
• Work with customer(s) as well as internal teams to clearly define and document project scope, requirements and integration points as they relate to solution implementation
• Developing key content and assets for project workshops for functional and scope priority alignment
• Developing business requirement documentation and project deliverables
• Maintaining working knowledge of end-to-end solution, with the ability to identify , document, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues as project progresses
• Support technical and functional testing of the implemented solution like SIT and UAT
• Understand the ins and outs of complex technology environments and know how to optimize solutions for efficiency and simplicity
• Maintain and document technical processes and marketing automation procedures and provide seamless hand-off to business users to utilize
• Hand on experience on emails, push, SMS, audience selection, trigger qualification, suppressions, segmentation, building journeys, customer lifecycle programs
• Cross-channel communications using all modules in Salesforce Marketing Cloud including but not limited to Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder and Contact Builder
Qualifications • 12+ years of technical experience • 4+ years hands-on platform experience on Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and/or other SFMC ecosystem platforms • Audience Studio, DMP, Datorama, Interaction Studio, etc.) and fluent in articulating Salesforce Marketing Cloud product capabilities to both business and technical audiences • SFMC Email Specialist , Consultant, or Admin Certification or willingness to complete • Proven project management experience supporting end-to-end marketing technology projects; implementing integrated solutions including other SFMC ecosystem technologies, cloud-based marketing solutions, integration services, and data modeling • Prior experience in a client-facing strategic role (i.e., consulting, agency) ideally within the digital marketing space • Knowledge of Agile and various methodologies, frameworks, organization structures, disciplines, and documentation • Functional understanding of marketing databases and/or implementation of marketing automation • Experience with performing gap analysis outlining client gaps in technology, resources, and institutional knowledge necessary to deliver and execute a successful channel rollout • Proven ability to understand the impact of technical changes, and, to articulate high level technical solutions to address business problems • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills as well as strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
