Design Thinking Strategist (Design Thinking, Empathy, Human-Centered Design)

Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid - 3x on site and 2x remote

Pay Rate: $65-75/hr. W2

Qualifications & Description:

Tactical Responsibilities:

  1. Lead problem framing to ensure problems are effectively articulated and prioritized.
  2. Create strategy, execute and synthesize research to inform business strategy and drive decisions based on user research insights.
  3. Help business partners craft strategic vision and test business ideas to reduce risk.
  4. Ensure consistent experience across products, including user research efforts and interaction design.
  5. Assist with determining scope and validating assumptions for solutions.
  6. Coordinate with designers on execution of product vision to ensure user satisfaction.

Required Education:

Bachelors required, Masters preferred in Business, Marketing, Design Management, Industrial Design or similar field of study.

Job Description:

In this role, you will serve as a human-centered design leader, helping product and project teams discover new possibilities and business efficiencies. You will work with talented UX/UI designers to ensure the design aligns with user research findings and follows UX best practices. You will also coach and mentor product teams in human-centered design practices.

In this role, you will:

  1. Serve as primary design consultant and creative strategy leader for project teams and stakeholders.
  2. Create human-centered designs by gathering customer needs and building delightful user experiences.
  3. Connect with various project and product teams to improve business efficiencies and employee experiences.
  4. Demonstrate expertise in user research and develop strategies for all touchpoints to create holistic experiences.
  5. Understand users, business, and technology to identify opportunities and connect requirements.
