Specific Responsibilities:
- Works with team to develop architectural concepts for interior and exterior repositioning and/or adaptive projects.
- Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawings.
- Drafts technical drawings.
- For smaller projects, may oversee all design and drawing.
- Provides review of engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solution.
- Ensures integration into overall design.
- Oversees Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issues.
- Provides detail for interior and architectural design projects.
- Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for both interior and exterior.
- Assists in developing packages for larger projects.
- Obtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimates.
- Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs Senior Designer, PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget.
- May mentor the work of Junior and Intermediate Designers.
- Oversees tasks and provides feedback on work product.
- Conducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirements; good working knowledge of Affinity program tool.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted.
- 6+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiors.

- Extensive knowledge of design principles, workplace trends and aesthetics.
- Extensive knowledge of repositioning and adaptive re-use projects.
- Advanced knowledge of space planning.
- Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes.
- Extensive with the concepts of furniture layout.
- Advanced sketching and rendering skills.
- Advanced architecture detailing skills.
- Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements.
- Intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
- Advanced Revit skills.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills.
