AbelCine, a leading equipment and technology provider for the broadcast, production, and new media industries is offering a temp-to-perm opportunity within our Production Services division for one of our key clients. We are seeking a talented and versatile Motion Graphics Animator to join our client's design team and create visually compelling animations and motion graphics for a variety of platforms, including live events, video content, social media, and websites.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience creating dynamic visuals for large-scale live event formats and is highly skilled in green screen compositing, 2D and 3D animation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Animation Creation
- Design and produce high-quality motion graphics, including 2D and 3D animations, for videos, social media, websites, and live event presentations.
- Create visually engaging content for large-format screens and other assets used in live event productions.
- Perform green screen compositing, integrating live-action footage with animated elements seamlessly.
- Create realistic 3D environments and visual assets using tools such as Unreal Engine and other similar programs.
- Collaborate with other animators on large-scale or complex animation projects to ensure consistency, innovation, and efficient workflows.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with our in-house design team and fellow animators to brainstorm and conceptualize animation projects that align with the brand’s visual identity.
- Partner with marketing and production teams to deliver animations that meet project objectives and technical requirements.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and enhance animations.
- Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Maintain organized project files and workflows to facilitate team collaboration and efficiency.
- Technical Expertise
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, Disguise Designer, and Unreal Engine to produce animations and effects.
- Ensure animations are optimized for specific platforms or event formats they will be displayed on.
- Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and techniques in motion graphics and animation.
- Brand Consistency
- Ensure all animations adhere to the company’s branding guidelines and visual standards.
- Innovate while maintaining consistency with the brand’s aesthetic and tone.
Requirements for a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics animation, with a strong portfolio that includes work for live events and 3D animation.
- Expertise in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D animation tools like Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or Unreal Engine.
- Experience in green screen compositing, visual effects, rendering, and creating realistic 3D environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure animations are polished, precise, and visually engaging.
- A keen eye for design, composition, and storytelling with the ability to translate concepts into engaging visuals.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other animators and designers.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must submit a digital demo for review. Applicants without demo samples will not be considered.
This is a temp-to-perm position with an estimated temporary period of around 3 months.
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
The role is onsite at our client's Midtown Manhattan location.
Compensation Range: $2,000 - $2,500 per week.
