Commander, Navy Installations is hiring: Library Assistant in Everett

This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Programs (N922) Branch; Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Recreational Fleet and Family Readiness Support Services (N91); Commander, Navy Region Northwest, at Naval Base Everett, Everett, WA. The purpose of this position is to provide customer service to patrons as well as to assist the supervisory librarian to perform a variety of duties in support of the MWR - Library Resource Center/Liberty Center.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to library patrons.
• Assist the supervisory librarian with daily operations.
• Manage library circulations and front desk operations.
• Utilize technology devices and software applications effectively.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of basic service operations for libraries.
• Knowledge of Navy MWR Library's mission.
• Knowledge of other MWR programs and their purpose.
• Skill in typing and reading comprehension.
• Skill in public speaking and basic math.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
