The LIV Golf League is the world’s only global golf league featuring 13 teams, a 14-tournament schedule, and many of the world’s best golfers. Launched in 2022, the League was designed to expand the sport on a global level and create new value within the golfing ecosystem while enhancing the game’s societal impact.

HISTORY

LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Social Media Specialist at LIV Golf supports the day-to-day execution of content across all social platforms, ensuring timely and engaging posts that align with the brand’s voice and strategy. This role collaborates closely with the social media team to schedule, publish, and monitor content, while assisting in live coverage of events and capturing real-time moments. Additionally, the coordinator analyzes performance metrics, stays informed on social media trends, and provides creative input to enhance audience engagement and growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with producers, editors, and creative teams to seamlessly integrate social content into multi-platform programming and marketing strategies.
  2. Curate, create, and pitch daily content and story ideas to enhance coverage of LIV Golf events, players, and teams, fostering meaningful fan engagement.
  3. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all content adheres to LIV Golf’s guidelines and regulations.
  4. Develop interactive and visually dynamic content, including cloud-based graphics and multimedia experiences, to engage audiences and elevate storytelling.
  5. Provide ongoing support to LIV Golf’s teams and players, offering strategic insights and assistance in creating content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  6. Monitor social media trends, analyze performance metrics, and adjust strategies to optimize content and drive continuous improvement.
  7. Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, bringing fresh ideas to enhance LIV Golf’s digital presence and fan experience.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  1. 3+ years of experience in social media content creation, with a proven track record of driving engagement, audience growth, and brand visibility.
  2. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, with the ability to create visually compelling content.
  3. Professional working knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, with an understanding of platform-specific best practices.
  4. Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  5. Knowledge of professional golf, its gameplay, players, and broader culture is highly preferred.
