About Engineering at Ascribe

Today, our APIs are built primarily with .NET 8+ and our clients with React/Typescript. We champion peer-reviewed feedback, automated testing, and continuous deployment. We are highly collaborative and afford autonomy to our employees, allowing them to focus on their craft. You should be comfortable managing yourself toward a goal and reaching out for feedback regularly.

About the Role

This is a full-time position on the Engineering team reporting to the Director of Engineering, Jeff Borders. You will also have regular exposure to senior executive management. Industry experience is not a must-have but is advantageous, whether that be with mortgage servicing related technology and APIs, general experience, or a combination. We value the following qualities in our employees:

● Partnership. At Ascribe, you’ll be encouraged to be a partner in what you’re building. This means tracking the impact of features you build, collaborating regularly with Product and Data, fixing bugs, educating your peers, and understanding your impact on the business.

● Self-management. We encourage engineers to take the initiative necessary to ensure their performance. This means identifying and dealing with roadblocks, and proactively ensuring that their time is focused on building, freeing themselves from distractions.

● Evaluation. We engage in architecture and code reviews with each other and are constantly rethinking how we’ve built our technology to date, and how we can make incremental improvements to the way we conduct our work over time.
