Job Summary:

CTL Companies was founded in 1986. We are a full service Audio, Video, Lighting, Controls, Electric, and Shading contractor with offices in Littleton and Fraser, CO. We specialize in delivering premium audio/video, lighting, shading, electric, automation solutions for high end residential and commercial projects.

We are looking for an experienced and versatile individual to join our team as a project lead technician.

In this role, you would work with other installers and independently, in the completion of installs and to achieve handoff of the project, and establish project objectives and realizations. Keep the Systems Director apprised of the daily project activities/changes as necessary. Responsible for timely completion of daily procedures and paperwork they are assigned.

Must have relevant AV & Automation experience.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects from start to finish. Install systems as required. Conduct inspections at critical phases of projects.
  • Ensure that project activities move according to schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with the people responsible for completing various phases of the project.
  • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which includes architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Monitor the progress of the project activities on a regular basis and hold status meetings with all parties as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to the budgetary guidelines, and quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure project documents are complete.
  • Identify the elements of project design.
  • Complete complex audio/video installs, setup, and calibration.
  • Control system deployment (control/lighting/shading) and Theater room installation.
  • Satellite/Cable systems setup and install.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of simple and complex systems.
  • Advanced networking/data system design, installation, and setup.
  • Complete programming of advanced systems (Crestron, Control4, Josh.ai, Lutron, Vantage Controls).
  • Complete training (lighting/shading).
  • Support of legacy and/or third-party products and systems.
  • Complete understanding of multi-room systems and setup.
  • Advanced understanding of security system programming and design.
  • Completion of ProSource University within the first year of employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Residential AV & Automation field experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly detailed, organized, and multitask driven.
  • Ability to work on rotating “on-call” service schedule.
  • Proficient in all Senior level qualifications.
  • Assist in training and evaluation of up to Senior level technicians.
  • Excellent skills with desktop and mobile computing.
  • Clean driving record and background check.
  • Experience with MS Office suite of products.
  • Experience with Crestron Home, Crestron, Control4, Josh.ai, Lutron, and other control systems.
  • Experience with Ubiquity Unifi Network platform and products.
  • Experience with Wisdom Audio, Meridian, Audio Control, AVProEdge, Anthem, Storm, Barco, Sony, Samsung, LEA, Sonance, James, Origin, Ambisonic, Marantz, NAD, and other audio video brands including the setup and use of these products.
