ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are looking for a skilled web developer who is a highly organized, dynamic team player to support cutting-edge growth-marketing strategies through web development.
This role will be responsible for the coding, layout, and functionality of our WordPress website. They will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including members from Performance Marketing, Brand Marketing, and IT teams, to ensure a well-performing, visually stunning, and innovative website with exceptional user experience. Additionally, they will identify areas for optimization with a focus on conversion rate optimization (CRO) while ensuring compliance with web regulations. Our ideal candidate is a strategic, results-driven professional with extensive technical expertise who can work independently or with a team. They should have exceptional project management skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and meticulous attention to detail to maintain brand consistency. The right candidate is proactive, solution-oriented, and proficient with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and optimize the Waystar WordPress website and all subdomains, ensuring high performance, security, and modern design
Work closely with the Brand Marketing team’s designers and content writers to ensure all web assets align with Waystar’s brand identity, messaging, and visual guidelines
Maintain and manage WordPress plugins as well as other applications that support our overall web experience
Ensure compliance with web regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, ADA accessibility, and evolving cookie policies, by implementing necessary updates and best practices
Collaborate with Waystar’s IT team to ensure security, uptime, and adherence to internal compliance policies
Expand and scale our website, including creating and updating landing pages, supporting A/B testing efforts, conducting QA, and optimizing conversion rates and SEO
Develop and maintain Marketo landing pages, including editing core templates and creating new pages for events, campaigns, and content
Manage Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, setting up tracking pixels, custom events, and performance monitoring tools
Implement modern, visually polished, and highly interactive user interfaces that enhance Waystar’s brand perception and user experience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the front-end is optimized for accessibility, usability, and performance
Ensure all web assets are meticulously aligned with brand standards, design principles, and content guidelines
Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to ensure Waystar’s web presence remains cutting-edge
Develop reusable front-end components, libraries, and tools, including calculators, quizzes, and interactive elements
Utilize version control systems to manage code repositories, ensure team collaboration, and maintain clean development workflows
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, web development, or a related field (Candidates with marketing or communications backgrounds and strong technical experience will also be considered.)
2-4 years of web development experience, including a track record of effectively delivering projects in a fast-moving environment
Strong communication abilities; written and verbal
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks with excellent time-management and organizational skills
Meticulous attention to detail and a strong eye for design, user experience, and brand consistency
Experience in planning, developing, and maintaining websites with a focus on security, compliance, and performance
Extensive knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services, including API, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, security principles, REST, SOAP, and web user interface design
Proficiency in WordPress, Marketo, and modern front-end tools such as Sketch or Adobe XD
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and tracking implementation
