Full Stack Web Developer
Our client is seeking a skilled Full Stack Web Developer to join their team and support the modernization of development and deployment processes. This role is ideal for a developer with strong DevOps experience who can help guide the team as they transition to Scrum methodologies. The position involves working on critical applications that support regulatory, licensing, and compliance functions while enhancing automation and version control practices.

This role can be fully remote working PST hours or onsite in Portland, Oregon.

Full Stack Web Developer Responsibilities

  • Lead DevOps initiatives, including automating deployments and implementing CI/CD workflows.
  • Support the transition to Agile methodologies by actively participating in Scrum ceremonies.
  • Oversee the adoption of GitHub for source code management and version control.
  • Collaborate with teams using Jira to streamline project tracking and Agile collaboration.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs that integrate with databases and third-party platforms.
  • Strengthen application security by implementing authentication, authorization, and best practices.
  • Work closely with UI/UX teams to create responsive, user-friendly applications.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to improving software development processes.

Full Stack Web Developer Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Java Developer.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and database-driven web applications.
  • Experience working with platforms such as AMANDA (Granicus), SmartGuide (Alphinat), and Accela.
  • Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience using Jira for Agile project management and Scrum workflows.
  • Ability to modernize and streamline manual deployment processes.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to mentor and support team growth.

Preferred:

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Background in government, regulatory, or compliance-related development environments.
