Senior Producer to join our Slate Development Group team and contribute to an ambitious new high-profile mobile game, based in Culver City on a hybrid basis or remotely in the US & Canada.

Slate Development Group owns Scopely’s editorial and content strategy, including the company’s greenlighting, Game Development Framework (GDF), studio strategy (organic and inorganic) and slate-wide budget and investment strategy.

What you will do:

  • Drive efforts across the development, publishing and live ops teams to support our ambitious new high profile game.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to manage the strategy, execution, and overall readiness of our production capabilities from a release management angle.
  • Work closely with all business stakeholders to ensure that our overall processes and capabilities are optimized to guide our game through the various stages of development and release.
  • Collaborate with development, publishing, tech, and ops teams to ensure a smooth release of the game through 1st party platforms, including but not limited to 1st party requirements, build stability, submission assets, localization coverage, and deployment dependencies/schedules.
  • Become the expert on the project regarding 1st party (i.e. Apple & Google) requirements, regulations and how-tos, including but not limited to certification, store setup, IAP setup, pre-registration setup, build submission pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Producer to set up and refine overall processes, ensuring that all workflows are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness across the game’s lifecycle.
  • Dive into the details and assist with hands-on tasks whenever necessary, whether it’s troubleshooting issues, creating documentation, or directly supporting the team to keep the project moving forward.
  • Work with various cross-functional teams like QA, marketing, PR, legal, and Customer Support to ensure seamless coordination and that all publishing activities align with the game’s launch strategy and ongoing support.
  • Act as a communication channel for specific topics between the publishing and development team, ensuring that all parties are informed, aligned, and working towards the same goals.
  • Lead and coordinate with external developers to ensure timely progress on specific areas of focus (e.g., ratings, submissions, legal compliance, etc.) and alignment across all relevant areas.
  • Identify potential risks related to publishing activities and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure the game’s successful launch and post-launch support.

What will you need:

  • At least 5 years of production experience in the video game industry, including a minimum of 3 years specifically with release management.
  • Proven track record in managing and coordinating production efforts across various stages of pre-release, release and post-release for mobile live-service games.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the process of planning, executing and maintaining consistent output of release management needs across tech, localization, QA, and other dependencies.
  • Proven track record of delivering results, coupled with a strong passion for effectively using and collaborating with various applications (e.g., Google Suite, Jira, etc.) to drive project success, adapting as necessary to meet job demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive schedules, monitor task progress and deliverables, and achieve timely completion of project objectives.
  • Experience working with executives in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a great sense of urgency and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Analytical, observant, and strategic, applying the right balance between data and qualitative information to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $114,000 - $168,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off.
