Title: SVP, Marketing Services, North America

Your role:

The SVP Integrated Marketing Services, North America will lead the strategic direction and execution of all scaled WMG marketing services for our North American labels.

They will play the pivotal role in the development of a new central marketing organization which will provide services across Paid Media, Direct to Fan, Creator, Marketing Operations and Campaign Analytics pillars.

They will also be responsible for the development of new approaches to scaled marketing services, including (1) Platform Marketing (2) Marketing Intelligence (3) other low-touch, scaled digital marketing opportunities.

Here you’ll get to:

Marketing Strategy & Transformation:

  • Partner with the CMO and SVP Global Integrated Marketing Services to define the ongoing strategy and functional operating model for delivery of scaled marketing services across our North American labels, continuously evolving it to deliver innovative, efficient and best-in-class marketing.

Campaign Delivery (Domestic):

  • Partner with AMG and Warner Records and Nashville marketing leads to support the implementation of any scaled elements of our artist marketing strategies within North America.

Campaign Delivery (International Import):

  • Partner with the SVP Global Priorities to deliver scaled marketing campaigns within North America for our global priority or high potential international importing artists.

Campaign Delivery (International Export):

  • Partner with AMG and WRG International Export teams to develop and implement full-funnel marketing strategies for any artist with true export potential, supporting artist development and revenue growth in markets outside of the US.

Finance:

  • Design and implement processes for tracking all relevant marketing budgets (cash and credits) ensuring accuracy and efficiency in any recharge processes.

Direct Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the North American Marketing Services team based across multiple US locations, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Direct Marketing:

  • Lead the North American Direct-to-Fan roadmap, driving strategic frameworks for CRM, web, audience data, and analytics in partnership with Global Direct Marketing Leadership.

  • Build a Direct to Fan servicing team able to deliver on the defined roadmap.

  • Establish best practices for audience acquisition, engagement, retention, and data enrichment within North America.

  • Promote the value of Direct-to-Fan marketing by fostering label understanding, celebrating best practices, and creating a culture of innovation.

Creator:

  • Ensure consistent adoption of creator/influencer tooling within the US label groups.

  • Oversee WMG’s Owned Culture Channel Ecosystem in North America and ensure consistency in delivery of artist fan channel strategies from the US label groups.

  • Support International Export team in the delivery of ex-US creator campaigns, partnering with the Global Creator team where necessary.

Paid:

  • Lead a team of Paid Media specialists who are embedded within each of the US label teams to deliver high quality and effective campaigns as required.

  • Ensure selected third party delivery partners are executing in line with expected servicing levels.

Campaign Analytics:

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns through data analysis and insights.

  • Oversee the delivery of all campaign reporting to label stakeholders.

xFN:

  • Partner with WMX to ensure collaboration and integration of eCommerce activities where relevant.

  • Partner with ADA and Catalog teams to establish an ongoing scaled marketing servicing model for those teams within North America.

Off/Nearshoring:

  • Develop a longer term strategy for the off/nearshoring of low value or duplicated activities, to increase volume, value and cost efficiency of the North America Scaled Marketing Services offering [in partnership with xFN stakeholders].

Global and Regional Alignment:

  • Ensure smooth integration within the wider global and regional specialisms across our scaled services groups, balancing the economies of scale with the necessity of localization.

About you:

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing within North America, with a focus on music, creative or entertainment industries.

  • Seasoned exec-level marketer with a strong understanding of marketing strategies and tools, including social, direct marketing, content and paid.

  • Demonstrable leadership experience across multifunctional marketing teams.

  • An ambassador for change who is skilled at leading large teams in multiple locations.

  • Disruptive, agile thinker with a strong focus on continuous improvement and tech enabled solutions.

  • Transformative skillset, with a strong focus on culture, organizational structure and building a high performing team that serves business needs.

  • Strong project, program management skill set with an understanding of strategic and operational needs of the marketing function.

  • Strong understanding of analytical mindset with experience in utilizing data to drive marketing decisions.

  • Passion for music and an understanding of the evolving music landscape.

Salary Range $210,000 to $285,000 Annually Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
