This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 0600 to 1800 at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, DC. Responsibilities
Proofreading and editing communications materials, including briefing documents, reports, and multimedia content Ensuring all materials adhere to AP Style, the agency's specific style guide, and correspondence guidelines Assisting in the research and development of communication products Collaborating closely with writers and visual information specialists to enhance the readability and effectiveness of communication materials Supporting the Congressional, Strategic Communications, and Multimedia divisions in their editorial and content development needs Attending meetings to gather information, provide editorial support, and ensure alignment with communication objectives Managing multiple assignments simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field TS/SCI clearance with CI poly 1-2 years of experience in technical writing or editing Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SharePoint Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free work Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Experience working within AP Style and an agency-specific style guide Experience in a government or military environment is desired Why Join Our Team At FedWriters, we place the highest importance on creating an exceptional employee experience.
