About the Role: The Head of UX and Design is responsible for leading Seerist’s product design function ensuring that our platform provides the optimal experience for users across our domains.

This is a Hybrid position, 3 days per week in the Reston, VA office. Responsibilities: Candidates should have leadership experience building and driving innovation and change within software applications. Their duties include leading the end-to-end design function, from user research through to the development of wireframes, design systems, and compositions for development teams to implement. This includes: Provide effective leadership of the UX and Design team. This includes hiring and management of third parties. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across disciplines to ensure alignment as you define the experience design vision and strategy for a large portfolio of projects. Ensure measurable, high-quality outcomes for design and user research. Create the future for enterprise design systems and UI standards. Standardize and advocate for human-centered design practices. Drive a DesignOps vision and maturation of an infrastructure to support professional practice for User Experience design and user research. Define an organizational design strategy and grow a UX team that delivers products in support of business and technology goals. Collaborate with engineering leadership to align UX and development activities in an agile environment. This will be a leadership role – working with our head of product, CPO, CTO to transform Seerist’s platform. Required Qualifications: Experience in a leadership role. Hands-on ability – will be involved in direct design work. Used to working within an integrated team structure (Product/Design/Development) – need them to be able to speak the language of developers. Experience working with both workflow-heavy tools and systems with large amounts of structured data. Ideally experienced across platform and mobile.
