SCHERMER is hiring a Senior Designer! The primary role of the Senior Designer is to ideate, design and deliver impactful creative solutions that address our clients’, and their audiences’, needs. You must be creatively curious, self-motivated and have the ability to juggle multiple projects with a focused attention to quality and detail. The Sr. Designer is responsible for contributing to the development, execution and evolution of concepts throughout all phases of a project. Reporting to the VP, Creative & Content, the Sr. Designer will work with our team of strategists, designers, copywriters and other production specialists. ** Please note: This is not a remote job. We place a high value on in-person interactions and our team works together onsite in Minneapolis 3 days a week and remotely 2 days a week. Only local candidates will be considered. ** Key Responsibilities: Contributes concepts and ideas that deliver on the client’s strategy and objectives Communicates clearly how proposed design solutions address customer and business needs Collaborates iteratively and often with Copywriters, Strategists, Information Architects, Developers, Project Managers and more Ability to activate and extend client brands in a way that connects with target audiences Has a strong creative competency in all mediums with the ability to design for omni-channel marketing tactics including digital and print Comfort in collaboration through brainstorm and workshop environments Understanding and execution of UI design principles and best practices Ability to ideate, design for, and/or produce motion graphics or prototypes using tools like Figma and After Effects Ensures quality and preparation of deliverables for handoff to interactive developers, printers, clients, etc. Able to prepare creative or agency presentations What You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 5+ years prior work experience in a marketing or creative agency is required Must be highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency in Figma and FigJam Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented Strong portfolio that demonstrates design thinking and solutions Ability to work independently, managing time effectively Commitment to collaboration with agency and/or client staff Ability to successfully present/sell conceptual ideas internally Coordinate with account staff and strategists to interpret client needs About SCHERMER: SCHERMER is a Minneapolis-based integrated B2B marketing agency that is recognized locally and nationally as one of the best-of-the-best in B-to-B.
