The opportunity EY is seeking a Data Engineering Manager with a strong understanding of data and technology within the TMT sector, complemented by a solid track record of delivery. This individual will spearhead the design and development of ingests, builds and pipelines that support large-scale data architectures, serving multiple downstream systems and business users. This individual will support Data Engineering Leads and will have the opportunity to lead and develop skills around the ever-growing demands of the modern data platform. Your key responsibilities Leading workstream delivery, project management, client engagement, identifying sales opportunities, and contributing to engagement economics and resource planning. You will also be expected to be billable to an external client. Design and construct analytics solutions. Translate business requirements into technical specifications. Optimize data functionality for data platforms. Build out new integrations using cloud native technologies to support continuing increases in data source, volume, and complexity. Define data requirements, gather and mine large scale of structured and unstructured data, and validate data by running various data tools in the data ecosystem. Support standardization, customization and ad-hoc data analysis and develop the mechanisms to ingest, analyze, validate, normalize, and clean data. Write unit/integration/performance test scripts and perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues. Implement processes and systems to drive data reconciliation and monitor data quality. Lead the evaluation, implementation and deployment of emerging tools and processes for analytic data engineering to improve productivity. Extract, transform, and load data from multiple external/internal sources into a single, consistent source to serve business users and data visualization needs. Utilize the principles of continuous integration and delivery to automate the deployment of code changes to elevate environments, foster enhanced code quality, test coverage, and automation of resilient test cases. Develop and deliver communication and education plans on analytic data engineering capabilities, standards, and processes. Solve complex data problems by delivering insights that help achieve business objectives. Lead and mentor more junior team members. To qualify for the role, you must have A Bachelor's degree in STEM. 6+ years of relevant experience in software development, data science, data engineering, ETL, and analytics reporting development. 3+ years’ experience with native cloud products and services such as AWS, Azure or GCP. 2+ years of experience mentoring and leading a team of data engineers. Experience designing, building, implementing, and maintaining data and system integrations. Proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,400 to $259,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California is $169,700 to $294,600. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
