What You'll Be Doing

• Design and build scalable backend services powering our flagship AI-driven video and audio tools.
• Work with web and video standards, including MP4, MKV, HLS, MP-DASH, and tools like FFMPEG.
• Deploy and scale backend services on Kubernetes (EKS) with secure and scalable Python code.
• Implement event streaming & processing using AWS SQS, Kafka, DynamoDB, and Aurora/Postgres.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to integrate state-of-the-art foundation models into real-world products.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems with Python.
• Experience designing and scaling RESTful APIs (FastAPI, Pydantic).
• Strong cloud engineering background, working with Kubernetes, AWS (EKS, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Kafka).
• Video Processing Expertise: Understanding of video streaming protocols, codecs, and container formats.
• Experience with schema registries, serialization protocols (Avro, Parquet, JSON-schema).
• Startup DNA: You thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
• Must be onsite in NYC or SF (no remote, no visa sponsorship available).
