Position Summary:
As Web Developer, you will provide programming and web development support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWCPCD) in Panama City, FL. This position is contingent on contract award and funding (anticipated Q1 of 2025).
Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Design, code, and document portions of applications programs for computers and associated equipment for scientific systems or commercial projects.
Provide web support including the architecture, design, and development of the NSWC PCD internal and external web pages.
Provide additional enhancements, capabilities, and functions to existing sites.
Provide page maintenance including removal of stale pages and detection and elimination of faulty URL links.
Provide scripting and alternative page delivery skills as well proficiently utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and other audio and video web production tools to ensure compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Prepare and implement a modular Active Server Page (ASP), .NET and JavaScript framework to replace legacy components such as Asynchronous JavaScript and Extensible Markup Language (XML) (AJAX) functionality.
Program an ASP web page to connect to, retrieve, edit and update SQL tables.
Support database maintenance, input of data, organizing data, and running reports.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience: Must have an Associate's degree in a computer related field
IAT level II (Security+) or level III (depending on role) compliant certification
For Jr. 0 - 3 years' experience
For Mid. 3 - 9 years' experience
For Sr. 9 or more years' experience
Proficient in the following: HTML, CSS, C#, VB.Net, SharePoint 2010, VBScript, and Javascript.
Proficient with SharePoint Designer and Site Collection Administrator Certification, C# and VB programming language, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services, Web Publishing, Web Design Principles. SharePoint development using SharePoint Object Model (2007 or 2010). Net development specifically for SharePoint Web Parts, ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) .net SQL Server development, proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
Proficient with working in IDEs.
Able to maintain a Microsoft SQL Server instance that will require the ability to Apply STIGs to the database instance and the server
Build and maintain a backup and recovery plan using full, differential, and transaction log files.
Provide Query optimization.
Utilize the tuner within the platform.
Design, implement, and manage databases, schemas, and associated objects.
Utilize Transact-SQL (T-SQL) to develop and maintain a management plan.
Experience using Atlassian's Jira application; a proprietary product that allows bug tracking, issue tracking and agile project management.
Experience with Microsoft's SQL Management Studio
Experience with Microsoft's Azure Cloud Studio
Experienced with Atlassian's Bit Bucket; Git-based source code repository
Proficient with working in IDEs and Microsoft Azure
Experience with T-SQL
Able to read and create both logical and physical database diagrams
Experience with Data Definition Language (DDL)
Experience with Data Manipulation Language (DML),
Experience with Data Control Language (DCL)
Experience with Transact Control Language (TCL)
Experience with a structured Query Language such as SQL, T-SQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DB2
Experience with PowerShell
Motivated, self-starter who is able to thrive in a fast, rapidly changing environment
Desire to learn

Preferred Skills and Experience: Advanced certifications such as RHCE, MCSE, VMware etc.
Physical Demands and Expectations: Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
