What you'll be doing The Business Affairs Senior Manager will manage and lead all business affairs for Verizon’s Creator Marketing team. This will include ensuring the execution of various projects relating to the business, legal, and financial needs specific to digital/social production & creator partnerships. This includes, but is not limited to, managing vendor payments, production, and creator/influencer deal terms & contracts, budget planning, contracting, and maintaining superior knowledge of the SAG/AFTRA influential agreement as it relates to specific productions. As an expert in the fast-moving creator/influencer space, you’ll be a driving force as part of Verizon’s marketing transformation developing bespoke creator campaigns, creator partnerships, and content strategies; all while partnering across a diverse group of teams and agency partners to execute and bring these campaigns to life. We're looking for someone with a passion and proven experience in developing and executing full-funnel creator strategies and creative activations for major brands with a diversity of objectives, products, and business priorities. This role requires equal parts content, creator, and social strategy chops as you’ll be relied on to independently lead multiple creator initiatives for key brand moments at once while continuing to define and refine the brand’s overall creator strategy and value proposition. This role is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of a new discipline within a sophisticated marketing organization, transforming a major brand’s marketing approach, and will be directly responsible for: Drafting and updating contracts and templates to ensure they reflect the deal terms, current industry best practices, as well as Verizon business standards. Answering any contractual or deal-specific questions that the team or cross-functional partners might have regarding the scope/terms of the contract, the NDA, or talent payments. Compiling previous deal terms to establish precedent and then, using that information to assist creative with negotiating new creator deals. Managing and overseeing all SAG-AFTRA and Non-Union talent paperwork, including generating talent contracts, talent releases, etc. Tracking and managing budgets. Managing and organizing all paperwork, contracts, and invoices. Providing oversight and administration of all vendor payments, including Verizon direct payments and third-party payments on owned projects. Reviewing creative for potential legal issues, including clearances and licensing of third-party print and social media materials. Working closely with Verizon Legal in resolving potential production liabilities and creating optimal solutions. What we're looking for You’ll need to have: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Experience in business affairs, contract administration & financial management for talent/creators at a brand, entertainment, agency or media company. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Eight or more years of direct experience in business affairs in tech, media, or entertainment. Strong project leadership and communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Elite verbal and written presentation and storytelling ability. A high degree of aptitude for leading meetings, owning presentations, and being a compelling presence in the room. Experience in a fast-paced environment and comfort managing urgent deadlines, organizing, and reporting a variety of production details. Ability to read and interpret complex contracts and summarize key strategic impact. Experience managing budgets, developing forecasts, and assisting operational teams in staying on track of their annual spending. Strong financial acumen and overall business experience. Analytical and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills. Experience building learning plans for both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives. For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $201,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more.
