Bakery is on the hunt for an Associate Creative Director (Art)—a conceptual powerhouse and visual storyteller who thrives in the worlds of advertising and entertainment. This role isn’t just about crafting beautiful work—it’s about leading teams of Art Directors, Writers, and Designers to push boundaries, create award-winning campaigns, and bring bold ideas to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead creative direction across all phases of a project, from initial concept development to execution and refinement, ensuring every piece is best-in-class.
- Bring ideas to life visually by combining strategic thinking with stunning design and art direction that captivates audiences.
- Develop and oversee compelling creative executions across film, social/digital campaigns, animation, and experiential activations.
- Present and sell ideas effectively to clients and agency leadership, turning strong concepts into reality.
- Drive new business opportunities, collaborating with senior leadership to craft and pitch groundbreaking ideas.
- Stay ahead of creative trends, emerging technology, and cultural moments that can elevate our work.
- Partner with your ACD Copy counterpart to guide your team’s workflow, ensuring smooth collaboration and refining every piece of creative output.
- Inspire and lead your team to deliver high-caliber, cross-channel work that is innovative, strategic, and delivered on time and within budget.
- Be a culture driver, consistently bringing fresh, unexpected ideas to the table—even beyond client briefs—to push the agency’s creative boundaries.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working in a market-leading agency environment with primarily an Art background.
- Impressive online portfolio of work demonstrating a proven track record of conceptual creative ability and judgment showcased across a variety of projects—namely in film, social, and web content—for top-tier clients.
- Experience developing successful concepts working in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.
- A high creative motor. At Bakery we are asked to innovate on a regular basis, not tread the beaten path. This means you must have opinions and ideas, along with a voice to express them properly and within the context of a brief.
- High energy, low ego. You must show you can motivate through action, but also show the ability to work collaboratively with your team and other departments without being disruptive or disrespectful.
- Attention to small details in all work, whether it's on a visual composition or the correct grammar in a script.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor other creatives, especially Art Directors.
- General knowledge of tech platforms and their limitations.
