Senior Mechanical Designer Job at Control Flow, Inc in Houston

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer with Wellhead experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge and experience in mechanical design, with a strong proficiency in industry-standard software. This role is critical in developing innovative designs and solutions that meet our clients' needs while adhering to relevant codes and standards. Duties Responsible for the design, development and product support of Control Flow's API-6A/16A/16C/6D products, such as wellhead spools, heads, hangers, pack-offs, valves, chokes and BOP's. Utilize 3D CAD to produce design layouts and detail drawings for manufacturing and assembly. Act as drawing checker. Write installation procedures, operation and maintenance manuals. Have experience with interpreting customer specifications, and knowledgeable with API specifications. Be a technical resource for manufacturing, assembly, field service and sales. Participate in design review and project kick-off meetings. Work with other CFI personnel and be an active participant in assisting the company to achieve operational goals and standards. Experience using ERP systems. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required. Experience Associates degree in a technical field. Or equivalent work experience in the same industry and years worked will be considered. Experience in Mechanical design in the oil & gas industry. 3D Software experience, Inventor or SolidWorks preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
