Job Description
The main responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to assist in the creation, management, and revision of content for our Piper product line. The content will include student-facing materials, teacher/instructor facing support materials. You will be a key player in designing and implementing courseware for new projects as well as maintaining existing ones. An understanding of instructional design principles, task analysis concepts, learning standards and assessment practices will be required.
Principal (Essential) Duties
Oversee standards compliance for all Piper products with CSTA and ISTE protocols
Mapping standards compliance to state standards as needed for all Piper products
Provide instructional design and content design for new Piper products as they are developed
Collaborate with the team to develop new products for the Piper Make line and any new lines that arise in the future
Support research and case studies to help better understand how customers use our products and how we can improve our products
Providing ELA//ELD activities for Piper products
Create and maintain Educators’ guides and resources for Piper products
Secondary Duties
Complete special projects as required.

Experience/ Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for preferred education
Three years of design experience
Classroom/Teaching experience
Experience/understanding of basic gamification principles a plus
Understanding basic Task Analysis principles would be a benefit
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Comfortable with minimal travel, no more than 15%
