Interiors Architect - Space Planner

As an Interiors Architect - Space Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming conceptual ideas into functional, innovative designs that foster collaboration, productivity, and flexibility within commercial office spaces. Key Responsibilities:
Space Planning & Design Leadership:
- Lead the design process for innovative, functional office layouts and interior finishes, ensuring they align with the latest trends in workplace design and meet the needs of future workforces.
- Develop and maintain building stacking drawings, and create schematic floor plans, illustrative prints, and technical documentation to support leasing efforts and help secure new projects.
Architectural Design & Construction Coordination:
- Drive the architectural design process from schematic design to construction documents, ensuring quality, compliance with codes, and safety standards.
- Regularly communicate with subcontractors, tenants, builders and clients to clarify design details, resolve issues, and ensure that the design intent is faithfully executed.
- Perform site visits and review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Work with third-party vendors and contractors to coordinate F.F.&E, information technology, security, and other tenant-specific requirements.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with marketing by creating compelling presentations and provide design solutions for revisions and conceptual layouts to enhance the marketability of available spaces.
- Handle multiple projects concurrently, maintaining a balance of creativity, timelines, and budget management.
- Create and deliver material boards and selection presentations for both internal and external clients, ensuring the design vision is communicated effectively.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture or Interior Design, with 6-10 years of experience in space planning and commercial office design.
- Strong background in creating innovative, future-forward workspaces.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, project management tools, and contemporary industry applications.
- Experience working on commercial office spaces and knowledge of relevant building codes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Preferred: Professional licensure, experience with SAP, and/or LEED certification.
