Job Description

Interiors Architect - Space Planner

Are you a creative and detail-oriented architect looking to make a meaningful impact in commercial office design and construction? Do you want to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team that is shaping the future of workplace environments? Join us as an Interiors Architect - Space Planner and help lead the way in designing cutting-edge office spaces that meet the evolving demands of both employers and employees.

Come join a fully integrated design, development, and interiors construction organization with a mission to redefine how people experience their workplaces. As an Interiors Architect - Space Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming conceptual ideas into functional, innovative designs that foster collaboration, productivity, and flexibility within commercial office spaces. This is more than just a design role—it's an opportunity to work across multiple disciplines and contribute to every stage of a project from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Space Planning & Design Leadership:

  • Lead the design process for innovative, functional office layouts and interior finishes, ensuring they align with the latest trends in workplace design and meet the needs of future workforces.
  • Develop and maintain building stacking drawings, and create schematic floor plans, illustrative prints, and technical documentation to support leasing efforts and help secure new projects.

Architectural Design & Construction Coordination:

  • Drive the architectural design process from schematic design to construction documents, ensuring quality, compliance with codes, and safety standards.
  • Regularly communicate with subcontractors, tenants, builders and clients to clarify design details, resolve issues, and ensure that the design intent is faithfully executed.
  • Perform site visits and review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Work with third-party vendors and contractors to coordinate F.F.&E, information technology, security, and other tenant-specific requirements.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing by creating compelling presentations and provide design solutions for revisions and conceptual layouts to enhance the marketability of available spaces.
  • Handle multiple projects concurrently, maintaining a balance of creativity, timelines, and budget management.
  • Create and deliver material boards and selection presentations for both internal and external clients, ensuring the design vision is communicated effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design, with 6-10 years of experience in space planning and commercial office design.
  • Strong background in creating innovative, future-forward workspaces.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, project management tools, and contemporary industry applications.
  • Experience working on commercial office spaces and knowledge of relevant building codes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Preferred: Professional licensure, experience with SAP, and/or LEED certification.

What We Offer:

  • Creative freedom to design and innovate within a fast-paced and evolving industry.
  • A collaborative environment where your input directly influences the success of each project.
  • The opportunity to work on a variety of high-impact projects.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and professional development opportunities.
  • Robust benefits package: 401k, medical insurance, vision, dental, bonus opportunities, paid vacation, wellness plan, Life/AD&D insurance, HSA/FSA and more!

If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role that combines design, development, and construction expertise, apply today and help us shape the future of workplace design.
