Job Title: Graphic Designer
Reports To: Director of Communications
Location: Mesa, AZ or Sedalia, MO. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
About Us:
As part of the Nammo Group (Nammo AS), Capstone Precision Group is the exclusive importer for Lapua, Vihtavuori, and SK products, as well as manufacturer of Berger Bullets and Ammunition. Established in 2017, Capstone has locations in both Sedalia, MO and Mesa, AZ. Sedalia, MO operations handle all importation of product and its packaging. Mesa, AZ location builds Berger Bullets and Ammunition. Sales and Marketing functions are housed at both locations.
Capstone distributes Lapua, Vihtavuori, and SK products through a dealer direct channel nationally, and Berger products globally.
Job Summary:
Capstone Precision Group is engaged in the importation, development, production, and sales of small caliber ammunition. As a dynamic, and growing business unit, we are seeking a Graphic Designer and Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for providing valuable support to our marketing department while working on industry leading projects.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly motivated, energetic person who works well in a small group where close collaboration and the ability to accept multiple responsibilities are essential. This position will report to the Director of Communications.
Scope of Work:
• Design/create artwork and visual tools to help manage Capstone branding & marketing efforts.
• Co-manage US general branding and giveaways, training, and products with marketing team.
• Develop and manage photography and videos for marketing and proposal purposes.
• Manage budgets and provide administrative support to the Director of Communications
• Manage multimedia efforts for product development, demonstration, and marketing.
• Support trade show, sponsorships, and event planning (may require occasional lifting up to 40-lbs).
Job Description:
• Reports, follows direction, and provides limited executive assistant duties to the Director of Communications and provides other matrix support as assigned.
• Builds/edits visual content for print/digital advertisements, trade shows, websites, catalogs, forums, blogs, etc.
• Researches, selects, designs, and manages promotional items including work with external vendors.
• Produces content for creative marketing campaigns and general support for product lines and facilities.
• Supports trade show events (which may include travel and exposure to various weather conditions), demonstrations and assisting with multimedia and overall marketing plans.
• Executes marketing team initiatives through appropriate channels such as print, social media, email, and other marketing communication instruments.
• Provides marketing support for advertising, recruiting, sales and trade publications.
Job Requirements:
• BS/BA degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience (4+ years) in marketing and/or graphic design preferred, but individuals with credentials reflecting similar skills may also be considered.
• Some working experience in graphic design through a similar position or internship.
• Graphic Design Portfolio required (please provide link in your application or resume).
• Skilled in Multimedia platforms (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) A competency test will be required for potential candidates.
• Thorough understanding of traditional and multimedia tools.
• MS Office Suite proficiency and excellent writing and editing skills required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Well organized and high attention to detail.
• Occasional travel (10%) to assist events, trade shows, etc.
• Entry level applicants that are missing some of the above requirements but have a passion for firearms/shooting will be considered.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bonus points if you have…
• Experience Portfolio (other projects, videos, photography, etc.).
• Experience as a Marketing Specialist or related work in field.
• Photography experience.
• Video editing competency and/or knowledge (Premier Pro).
• General firearms competency and/or knowledge.
• Competitive shooting experience and/or knowledge.
• Hunting experience and/or knowledge.
TRAVEL
The position requires up to 10% of travel.
