America’s Test Kitchen is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Social Media Manager to join our Social Media Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Social, this exciting position is responsible for performing the day-to-day tasks required to deploy, maintain and grow a comprehensive social media strategy and ensure consistent messaging across various channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record developing online communities, drafting/publishing content, reporting and tracking engagement, and will deeply understand how to leverage web content, and cultural trends, to attract new and engage existing audiences on social platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Social Strategy Execution:
- Work with senior team members to develop and execute an engaging social media strategy across key platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
- Perform all daily hands-on tasks required to support and grow a presence for the brand across channels.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Editorial and Video Divisions, coordinating and collaborating on content development and ensuring formats are optimal for social environments. Work closely with the Marketing and Editorial Divisions to incorporate brand initiatives into ongoing social media strategy.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Ongoing data tracking and analysis on all social media campaigns and results, reporting out as needed to new media, marketing, editorial, design and technology departments.
- Trendspotting & Competitive Analysis: Identify, report and capitalize on new developments on the social, keeping up with updates, trends, new tech, etc. Monitor competitor activity daily and provide analysis as needed.
- Content & Calendar Creation: Manage social media calendars and day-to-day activities including ongoing content development, community-outreach efforts, promotions, and more.
- Social Ideation: Be a key point of contact for social ideas, insights and recommendations.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of strategic social media experience (video editing skills a plus).
- Stays on the cutting-edge of social media strategy and channel-based community development.
- Has a strong understanding of social-first content, including video best practices.
- Is an effective communicator and is comfortable coordinating information across the organization.
- Has a strong understanding of data analysis and social media reporting, experience with management tools like Sprout Social and Emplifi is a plus.
ADDITIONAL QUALITIES
- Proactive self-starter who can operate independently.
- Effective presentation and communication skills and able to communicate cross-functionally and efficiently with both junior and senior team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills, initiative, follow-through, and adherence to deadlines and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for food, cooking, and culinary content that aligns with America’s Test Kitchen's mission and audience.
This position is located in our Boston, MA, office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
