Position Summary
The Social Media Specialist manages CUWAA's social media presence to foster engagement, promote enrollment, and elevate the university's online reputation. This role creates platform-specific content, oversees student contributors, and tracks social media performance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage official social media accounts (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) and develop content strategies to maximize engagement.
- Create and schedule fresh, engaging content tailored to each platform.
- Oversee a team of student workers, mentoring them to produce authentic, high-quality content.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies based on insights.
- Because the unit is collaborative and dynamic, on occasion, other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong understanding of social media trends and platform-specific best practices.
- Experience managing professional social media accounts and creating content calendars.
- Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies to optimize engagement and results.
- Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field required.
- 2-4 years of experience in social media management preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt (salary) position. The starting wage may be determined upon education and/or experience. Concordia University benefit options include, but are not limited to the following:
