Position Overview

The Studio Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, front desk staff, and instructors to ensure operational excellence and a thriving fitness community. This role requires strong leadership, sales expertise, and a commitment to promoting health and wellness. The Studio Manager is expected to implement lead generation and marketing strategies to drive program sales while fostering a positive and engaging environment for staff and members. This role is ideal for a driven and results-oriented leader who is passionate about fitness, sales, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and management to create a successful and motivating environment.
  • Oversee and exceed sales and operational budgets through strategic planning.
  • Lead and coordinate sales initiatives (pre-sale events, community outreach, calls, texts, and emails).
  • Manage and optimize sales processes and systems to drive revenue growth.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee studio staff to ensure high performance.
  • Optimize class scheduling and support instructor development to maximize attendance.
  • Foster a high-energy culture through contests, incentives, and staff motivation.
  • Set the standard for customer service excellence and ensure consistency across all operations.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including front desk systems and financial controls.
  • Handle customer service concerns with timely and effective resolution.
  • Plan and promote special events to engage the community and increase membership.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to drive revenue and lead outreach initiatives.
  • Proficiency in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and managing budgets, payroll, inventory, and facilities.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle client and staff concerns, and operate independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and related business software.

Education & Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in fitness studio or gym sales required.
  • 2-3 years of management experience, including staff recruitment, training, and performance oversight.
  • Previous leadership experience in the health & fitness industry required.
