As the Senior UX Designer for the Job Platform team, you will be responsible for designing scalable platform solutions to problems that span multiple teams, employer segments, and use cases to support our employer product experiences. You will apply your system thinking skills, technical expertise, and collaborative design approach to define and align on solutions with Product, Engineering, and User Experience team members.
Who you are
- Create workflows, early design concepts, and design approach to drive the definition and design of reusable platform capabilities, features, and experiences.
- Partner with technical PMs, engineers, and architects to evaluate and pressure test back-end and technical models and designs to ensure they meet employer needs and client team use cases.
- Leverage qualitative research methods and partners to understand user needs, use cases, and design solutions.
- Collaborate with teams that are both co-located and globally distributed to drive alignment on design and product direction across experiences and use cases.
- Participate in road-mapping exercises with product managers, engineers, architects, and partner teams to break down the end-to-end experience into an iterative roadmap and development strategy to serve our users, the business, and technical feasibility.
- Audit key customer journeys and evaluate data and customer feedback to identify UX problems cutting across multiple teams and experiences and inform the design of holistic end-to-end experiences.
- Identify the risks and impact of technical solutions on user experiences and create a UX plan to ensure the user needs and risks are accounted for.
Who we are
- 5+ years of product design, systems design, or service design experience.
- A portfolio that demonstrates experience designing modern user interfaces (UIs) and interactions. We are interested in design solutions, not design artifacts.
- Able to leverage research and data to support design recommendations.
- Solid communication skills with an ability to collaborate compassionately and inclusively with cross-functional partners (Design, Product, Engineering).
- Ability to navigate and create definition in ambiguous projects and problem spaces.
- Experience using Figma, Sketch or other interaction design / prototyping tools.
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
