Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers a vast collection of digital videos—all with the ease of customers finding what they love to watch in one place.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead large and complex programs that span multiple business units.

Key job responsibilities
You have excellent organization, program management, and communication skills, and a motivation to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

You should enjoy working on complex software systems, be customer-centric, and feel strongly about connecting customer problems through underlying scalable software that raises the bar on customer and operational goals.

You will work deeply with engineering teams on the design, implementation, and drive the delivery of large technology initiatives for Prime Video customer personalization, content discovery, title recommendations, ads promotions, and enhancing key viewing features and customer engagement on the Prime Video platform.

You will be responsible for leading initiatives spanning across teams of software engineers and data engineers, designing and building innovative software solutions for our customers. You will need to be an excellent leader and bridge across various parts of technology, product, business operations, and creative.

A day in the life
You will partner with senior leaders across the organization in developing a strategic vision for Prime Video. You will define and deliver on key goals and update business stakeholders.

You will lead collaboration with engineering teams to understand project status, provide resources and insights to deliver milestone goals, and remove roadblocks. Partner with product teams to deliver requirements on upcoming projects.

About the team
Technical Program Managers at Prime Video are embedded with various engineering and product teams on the design, implementation, and delivery of large technology initiatives across Prime Video.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
