We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Graphic Designer in Chicago, Illinois. This role is integral to our team, with a focus on creating design work for various mediums such as print media and automated templates. You will be required to deliver creative ideas and follow through to content creation as well as executing materials with a template-based design. Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite is essential, as is the ability to manage a strong workload and multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Creating attractive and effective package designs across various brands
• Presenting ideas and designs to clients directly
• Staying aware of social and style trends to ensure our packaging remains relevant
• Collaborating with other designers to seek out the best design solutions, while also working independently
• Creating, revising, and maintaining design files across brands using tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
• Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
• Maintaining a high level of detail in all work
• Managing all aspects of a project from start to finish
• Ensuring that all designs align with our branding guidelines.• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are imperative for effective teamwork and client interactions.
• Proficiency in marketing tactics to ensure designs align with brand strategies and promotional goals.
• Strong research abilities to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and target audience.
• Experience in materials handling and packaging components, specifically in creating die-lines and templates, is crucial.
• Proven design capabilities, ideally within a creative design group, with direct oversight of design projects.
• Comfortable delivering presentations to clients or team members, explaining design concepts and rationales.
• Familiarity with project management tool 'About Time' for efficient scheduling and time management.
• Expertise in graphic design, particularly for print media, using various software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Photoshop.
• Possess the ability to work onsite as part of a collaborative team.
• Knowledge of the programming language 'Go' is beneficial.
• Experience in content creation, from concept development to final production.
• Understanding of AP Style guidelines to maintain consistency in all created content.
• Prior experience working with Chubb or similar insurance systems is considered a plus.
