Job Description
Position Summary
The Assistant Designer will support the Design Team developing in-house products across all categories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Work closely with the Design Team and support in all areas of the design department.
· Create flat sketches based on existing bodies as well as tech packs and revision notes using Adobe Illustrator. (apparel, accessories and printables).
· Create visual line plans for the purpose of retail and sales presentations.
· Work on transferring, renaming, and creating styles in the asset management system.
· Assist in developing and maintaining product documentation.
· Support the design department and other internal entities in the management, maintenance, and development of the Asset Management and PLM system.
· Data entry tasks as required for logging and maintaining business and design systems.
· Maintain quality control of file sizes and standards to ensure maximized available server space
· Organize and maintain samples and blanks.
· Provide clear and concise project related information to the product development team and company leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
· College degree in Fashion Design required.
· 1-3 years industry experience in fashion design required (apparel, printables, and accessories)
· Tech pack experience in apparel required.
· Understand fashion trends.
· Eagerness to learn and curiosity about this industry's happenings and the world in general.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Detail-oriented & highly organized.
· Ability to wear multiple hats, multitask and prioritize work on a continual basis.
· Flexibility, having the ability to be diverted off a project intermittently and be able to return without losing one's place.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Must be a self-starter with strong initiative and hard work ethic.
· Must be willing to work additional hours if needed for projects.

Working Conditions
Work is performed inside a temperature-controlled office building with open floor plan. This job operates in a professional office environment with a business casual dress code. This role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
