Instructional Designer (Retail Industry) – Remote | 8-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $38-45/Hour (W2, depending on experience)
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 8-Month Contract

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support a globally recognized specialty retailer in developing innovative training solutions for frontline employees. This role is ideal for a skilled learning professional with strong Articulate Storyline experience, video editing expertise, and live virtual facilitation skills. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with retail experience being a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop engaging training programs, including eLearning modules, instructor-led sessions, and self-study materials.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess learning needs and build effective instructional solutions.
  • Utilize Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and SCORM-compliant tools to create dynamic and interactive content.
  • Edit and produce training videos to enhance the learner experience.
  • Facilitate live virtual training sessions with confidence and professionalism.
  • Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines while ensuring high-quality content delivery.
  • Research and implement innovative learning methodologies focused on adult learners.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, and training facilitation.
  • Hands-on expertise in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate for building eLearning content.
  • Strong video editing skills with experience producing professional training materials.
  • Comfortable delivering live virtual training sessions, engaging audiences effectively on camera.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Retail industry experience is highly preferred.
