H2M Architects + Engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in the NY Metropolitan Area seeks a licensed Architect to join our Melville team.

Come join our multi-disciplined team of architects, engineers and environmental scientists in our Melville office. We’re looking for a Sr. Architect with 15+ years’ experience in architectural design. In this role, you will work in supervising and developing an architectural team for both public and private clients. You will also coordinate the efforts of both in-house and outside teams who handle structural engineering, MEP design, civil and environmental engineering services.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic go-getter who is just as comfortable managing the work as they are interfacing with clients and supervising a team of architectural professionals. Job Responsibilities

  • Manage studio budget; and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and celebrate the successes of the architectural studio team.
  • Act as an elevated point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Provide regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
  • Lead the local production teams in the development, planning and successful execution of projects.
  • Take ownership for quality execution of all projects undertaken by the team.
  • Consistently work towards evolving the workflow process and improving the studio efficiency.
  • Oversee operational budget for studio and overall studio performance.
  • Perform other like duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • 15+ years of architectural design experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Architectural Design. Ability to manage and supervise staff.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of project specifications & CSI division formatting.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture required. Masters preferred.
  • Professional RA required.
  • Architecture enrollment in NCARB IDP preferred.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000 annually.

The employment offer may deviate from this published range based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography and/or related certifications – not related to any applicant’s characteristics protected by local, state or federal law. Note: The salary or hourly rate indicated does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
